ELDERLY

ELDERLY
Today I received a very shocking video pictures on a topic you have been given the title: STRONG IMAGES OF LISTING FOR GREAT CAUSES
The photographs are very impressive and very well adapted to the subject but among them, which impressed me most was the one that says: "More than 50% of suicides committed by elderly" and I stopped to reflect.
Since I am a person that can be assigned and the title of "old" I could not help trying to adapt my thinking to that extreme attitude life and, for some time, I searched in my mind the reason that can lead to an elder to terminate its existence in this world.
course, as well as the saying goes, "every person is a world" and you can not generalize on this point since, each has its own reality, however, is a circumstance in a given time is the same for everyone in general. Of course some will come a little later than others but with little difference and that is, physical deterioration, details of which I will not explain here because, who else, who least known, but in the flesh, in others . This brings me to yet another shocking reminder that I read, for quite some time, a married couple, both doctors, with a stable family of seven children who were found dead lying in her bed after committing suicide. In the note he left, seems to be saying that he had been chosen because of physical deterioration began to suffer, did not want to live. And this brings me to the final question: Are they right these suicide, there is a phone just for this decision? I would say yes. And here is where I expose my arguments.
Throughout life, while going forward in years, the body changes and the mind as well, but every day brings new hope for change, something new, a different expectation. And that positive feeling is durable, I would almost say that if eternal life is not excessively long. But if it continues, there comes a strange moment because no one knows define an unexpected situation arises suddenly, imperceptibly, like a snake winding and insidious that we compressed and slowly, we are aware of that final, that's not expecting anything because it's all over.
is when one is aware of the loss of stability, and suddenly you dare not go out alone what if you fall? You do not want to catch the bus without help because it costs up and down and, above all, maintain balance if you can not find a seat. You can not go to lunch or dinner with friends, or even a coffee because you are ashamed of tremors of your hands. What if you drop the cup? The eyes of fellow diners are compassionate and even some, indiscreet, hear how he says coldly: "Your hands are shaking" had not yet been realized in your old age, your physical deterioration. This is when you start to lock yourself at home, not wanting to leave. Friends are lost, those who are your age, are in similar situations and the younger, extend phone calls, emails, invitations. It is then that you are aware of how you have become a burden to others. Dawning day, and each brings a tenth of a disappointment that accumulates to form a mountain discouragement. The most compassionate
trying to convince you of that utopian eternal hope that you know very well has ceased to exist and smile in silence because you appreciate the good intentions but you know the truth. There is no hope, nothing left. Around you, the vacuum inside you, a lot of nostalgic memories of something that was but also begins to fade, to disappear because they do not know if those memories have been or are the product of your imagination, a few desires ever dreamed and achieved. Are aware of the tricks of the mind. You forget, repeat, did also invent? You begin to stop being you.
Therefore, when reading this morning that statement in which numbered 50% of elderly people are finished with your life, I was not surprised, to me it seemed normal but I do not know if I have the courage to carry it out, I do not think so. I hope and trust that life is benevolent enough to me and close my eyes forever rather than being a burden to others, before that total, bitter and hard despair, completely take over my environment.
I know I put the illusion of something that stimulates my desire to live, everyone has their secret hidden in the closet. Digging in the corners, I have found mine, entertainment writing. I will not go too far with this project, I know, but when left unattended a spark of hope, I'll keep this as a treasure ... even though my writings only serve to give a little light to each new day and even though only a few fools are those who dare to read my words.
So far, I have decided to partner with an NGO called "right to die with dignity" They take care of my life is not maintained by artificial means if there is no possibility of cure. To which I have more terror is to end my life in a vegetative life. No. No one allows it. MAGDA.

How Long To Take Flagyl

Blame it on Bobby

My first contact with chess was due to Bobby Fischer. The year was 1972 and the U.S. had been featured in the headlines of every newspaper. His match against Spassky was just a chess match was a struggle between capitalists against communists. It was the "free world" against the "Soviet machine." It was therefore only check on a checkered board.

The media hype in the newspapers of the time I did follow all the items to be called match of the century. Understood little or nothing about chess, but it was clear that Fischer fired the imagination of many people, of many children and young people who through Bobby, Caissa
called them to their ranks.

And so began my wanderings through the world of chess. I was caught by the game and to date, but play less frequently than at other times, the passion is still intact. It has been more than 30 years of this and Fischer is still no doubt a reference. My time in the world happened thanks to the American checkered. My years of study at the board, constant work, skills, above, is part of that passion that Fischer showed us, one must have to play chess. Thanks to Fischer

I know this family it is chess, how players share a passion for the game, sometimes bordering on obsession. If anything I say is that Bobby is that I've been enjoying this fantastic and endless game. And yes, shame on all of Fischer.

Japan Women On Trains

Eulalia

Eulalia

From my balcony I saw yours. The buildings formed a square in the center square, a lemon tree, gave a touch of greenery in the small space. It was the beginning of the 1940 twentieth century that has elapsed since that seems so far to name him, but I've lived here almost my entire life, or at least a long history.
We had come to town to escape the problems of war with those strange silences that occur when an event not to be known to prevent greater evils. My memories are clustered among trunks where clothing and household goods stored for invoicing to the new city and my mother's immense sadness at having to leave the home where we had always lived. I never knew the reason for this small diaspora but, over time, I gathered some political secret that was never released and was hidden under lock and key, including papers and documents never exposed to light. Something serious must have to reach the end of that abandoned house, furniture and family stability, I guessed on the look sad and scared of my father and the firmness and decision of my mother. And there, at the third floor of a strange city, our lives started again. My father got
do not know how an internship position with a famous lawyer even though he had practiced law with a certain reputation in the abandoned city, and my mother, along my two older sisters, put in that same household, a sewing workshop where tailors offering their services as in-store we frequented, they got a clientele that, later, word of mouth, and gave some popularity that helped us to guide our shattered lives.
I, being the youngest, age difference, I indulged in reading and games, because in those days, there was a lack of current technological advances, there was no television, no computers course or amusement machines, so My biggest distraction was out on the balcony from which you could see the square to see the balconies of the houses. In on the first floor and mezzanine as it was then called, at the corner to the left of the buildings, was the favorite of my observation. It was long, very wide and full of potted plants, so many that looked like a garden. However, the floor looked lonely, with little life, only in spring, saw a very old lady with a mime special watering all those plants, then decorated the balcony of a charming manner. That alone was a magnet for my young mind.
As the distance was not too big of a balcony to another, could see clearly and, from the outset, I found it to be singular. Movement slow, delicate, probably because of old age, always dressed in black, very outdated. Foot length skirts, a lot of width, with a more-fitting bodices, white hair covering their hair with a kind of black cap toes and hands were always covered with lace mittens. I liked to look like watered sparingly, slowly love all plants and sometimes in summer, could see her in the balcony, sitting on a wicker chair surrounded by a chrome-like flowers out of a storybook. Through my mother, I knew his name, called Doña Eulalia, said he had the title of Countess and was the owner of all the farms surrounding the small plaza. They said, lived alone for a long time and was close to meeting the one hundred years but to me I would not have missed it and had more than met.
I was a little girl given to friends, some lonely, I liked to watch it all to get, then, my own conclusions and so I met an older girl named Margaret age whose domicile was in the doorway next to mine.
Before you make friends with somebody, I used to wait for the sensation caused in my mind for that person. If to be at his side felt calm and his eyes were open, he accepted. If, however, his presence and his eyes troubled me was elusive, the rejected. My neighbor Margaret was the first. Higher, as I said it was more, maybe had two, three or maybe four years and a lot more brown but with a honey-colored eyes tender look really beautiful.
Our first submission came through the gate separating the terrace of his house to mine. She played with her younger siblings when the ball landed in my backyard and on the way back, started the conversation and later friendship.
Margarita's father was a watchmaker and the porch of her house was used as Chiscón repair watches. Margaret and I agreed to after school while she went to a different one to mine and talked, exchanged or readings we accompanied each other if we needed to do some custom of our fathers. One day, one evening after leaving school, Margaret asked me to accompany her to deliver a watch repaired by his father. After obtaining permission from me mother, went to deliver and surprise I found that the owner of that clock, Margarita told me was, nothing more and nothing less than Doña Eulalia. Margaret lived in that neighborhood since birth, so he knew all the details of the neighborhood and also the old lady. Seeing my interest, I explained it was a very rich but very kind. Widow for a long time had only one child living abroad and, yes, it was true that he held the title of Countess. My enthusiasm for going home and seeing it is not about to tell, I was thrilled.
I did not lose detail of events. The entrance to the house of Doña Eulalia, had a large paved patio where Margarita said, entered the carriages did not exist when the mechanical drive and right after going up three steps, was a painted brown door where a deadbolt with the figure of a fist served caller. Margarita hit the latch and opened the door an older woman, presumably the maid. We were ushered into a small room inside for me was a delight. I imagined being in the home of a gnome, a princess or a fairy ... I could not express it exactly. Everything seemed magical. The fully carpeted floor, with a huge seating next to a fireplace where, in a marble mantel could see frames with photographs and a vase with a natural margaritas enormous size. Papered walls, showing oil paintings of different sizes, some with portraits, some landscapes, which was not sufficient to contemplate. Margaret and I did not dare to move and without knowing why, only in monosyllables articulábamos whispers as if we fear that things magically disappear.
Soon, the door opened and the same woman accompanied us an enormous corridor of polished floors, spotless, with plants at one end and another, crystal chandeliers and wrought iron, to a room where a potted palm fresh well maintained, strategically adorned the corners. In a table with a leg whose end was a lion's claws, was a jar or ceramic pot very ornate, with beautiful pink cyclamen and sitting in a large armchair by the window that I found, as was the balcony observed for me was the old lady sitting Condesa Doña Eulalia. We looked
smiling, I, paralyzed by the novelty, not lose detail. I verified that the black dress she always used was of very good quality, with lace cap and mittens wet, she gave a nice effect, like a film out of one of the old books that my father had in the shelf. She was beautiful, white skin from a face full of wrinkles, however, slightly marred her beauty faded, I watched a little curious and smiling blue eyes. Without knowing why, felt a great peace.
"To you I see you often leaning on the balcony, he said, addressing me. Made a short pause in which I only heard me whisper - "yes ma'am" - and then with a smile on his thin-lipped mouth, he asked: - What's your name?
I told him my name without knowing whether it should also add that my last name and tagline taught by parents and teachers: "... to serve God and you" tagline that he hated to pronounce, then did not know the cause of his displeasure until, later, as I got older, I realized that was a phrase of submission unforgivable. In this world no one had to serve anyone, at any rate help. But this is not the case.
After taking the Margarita watch and pay the settlement, Doña Eulalia offered us a seat on a huge sofa while ordering her maid brought us a snack. I have never eaten some biscuits with milk or as tasty and with such emotion, always seen that kind lady that I looked like a queen. When we finish, I am after Margarita, - no doubt my difficulty swallowing because of the trouble, "before leaving, the lady opened a metal box with a pretty floral pattern that I thought it was all gold and gave us two chocolates each. Without knowing why, to say goodbye, I could not avoid making a bow, drew back his left foot and holding my skirts, I made a slight genuflection. I really felt before a queen but not to an earthly kingdom but to the Queen of the fairies.
When we reached the street I could not help saying to Margaret while he was jumping with excitement:
- is the Queen of the Fairies ...! Unfortunately that phrase
ended our friendship. My friend must have thought that I was not very balanced. He looked at me with frightened eyes and from that day, our friendship cooled. We were greeted at us and little else.
One day, I stopped to see Doña Eulalia, no longer went out to water the flowers on the balcony and, unexpectedly, the pots of flowers disappeared, the balcony was empty and lonely. My mother said that Eulalia was dead, was too old.
Gone are the years I have lived in different cities, I have referred to other balconies, I have tried to elderly, with a lovely, enigmatic and others less so, but among the cobwebs of memories stored in my mind, I still love and true mystery, that image, that story. Episodes that occur throughout life. MAGDA.

Here the book's prologue: Prologue

many books have been written about Bobby Fischer. Most of them talk about their life and their games. Of course this has nothing wrong but in our opinion, all authors seem to have forgotten the great contributions of Fischer chess. Therefore, we decided to focus the analysis of Bobby Fischer to his great contributions to the world of checkered board. Obviously we can not put aside the complex life that led the U.S. during his years as an active player, his struggle to become the best, literal war against the Soviets whose hegemony was i ndiscutible before him. For

Robert James Fischer us is the best player in the entire history of chess. While obviously this is a controversial issue and clearly the comparisons with the players present and past usually always put into question such claims, it is clear that everything must be viewed from a historical perspective. Whereas Fischer times as an active player in where he had to face the great monsters of the Soviet chess, Spassky, Petrosian, Tal, Keres, Geller, Averbach, and even the same Smyslov Botvinnik, among others, in addition to the more notable players West: Larsen, Olafsson and his homeland, Reshevsky, who had an intense challenge chess for years, can Fischer said that certainly was exceptional for its time.

But more importantly, Fischer is the example of the individual against the community effort that the Soviets had already traveled. Bobby was helpless and all worked a lonely life. He had no coaches or trainers, or coaches, fewer computers or programs such as Rybka or Fritz, and why, as achievements are exceptional.

Garry Kasparov, arguably the greatest player of all time, Fischer said of the following: still remember the days of world championship from Spassky and Fischer in 1972. I was a child of nine years of doing my first steps in chess career, in the peaceful Baku. I knew, of course, Spassky, the reigning world champion was a very strong player, but I had the idea that Fischer, my chess idol then, was a player of another caliber, someone who was in another class in its own class. [...] When I compare my own career with that of Fischer, I must admit that I enjoyed a certain advantage over him. He did not have anyone to his side to reach the heights reached by, where I had the privilege of having a world-class player and Karpov, which prompted me to try harder myself and move further up. If one can judge the strength of players compared with their contemporaries, it seems Fischer's achievements are impossible to overcome. The space between him and his closest rival was the largest that has been among the world champion and highest rated player in his time. He was about 10 to 15 years ahead of their time in preparation and understanding. This can be attributed in part to its dedication to the game, which was never matched by other players before or at the time Fischer. And there is a particular item that impressed me, though he played great games. Is your professional attitude to the game, his qualities as a fighter who called me so much attention. Fischer was the first professional player and I really consider myself his follower.

Kasparov mentioned an interesting detail in his words, the rating of the players. By the late Sixties introduced a classification scheme of chess strength in the International Chess Federation (FIDE, its French acronym), proposed by the Hungarian mathematician / American Arpad Elo. Thus, with a number identifying the strength of a chess player, chess gained new momentum and this laid the foundation of a chess measurable in all directions. Now had an objective value, a number, to identify the level of force of a player. Fischer arrived in 1972 to a record of 2785 ELO points, almost 100 points above its nearest rival, at the time the great Boris Spassky.

However, history is not written correctly. At the time of Fischer, said rating list is updated twice a year and accounted for all tournaments played in that period of time. Today rating calculations are carried even overnight. From this perspective, Fischer grew to more than 2805 Elo points (before his match with Spassky) and when it ends, gave the final score 2785 points. This means that Bobby, about 20 years before anyone reached the summits of the Elo rating where currently, in the world, no more than five players who have surpassed the barrier of 2800 Elo points.

We could say more about Bobby Fischer, he invented the idea of increased clock, which was intended to avoid having to endure the hardships of time in positions gained. Every move made the clock would pay a certain amount of time. These clocks became a reality when digital technology came to the final consumer. Or, Fischer would have to thank the fact that thanks to your requests, sometimes even exaggerated to many, chess became an activity that went to the front pages of newspapers. Bobby pushed for better bags of money, because they were paid to the chess players practice their activity (Bobby asked at the time from 2000 to $ 3000 simply by participating in any international tournament). If today's elite players enjoy these privileges is precisely the thrust Fischer gave them. Even at the time seemed exorbitant requests, out of place, but today nobody seems strange that the players charged for participating in a tournament of elite. This was no doubt due to Fischer. There were other contributions

less successful, as called Fischer Random Chess 960, where the order of the pieces in the front row is placed randomly. Bobby indicated that this chess opening preparation all would be pointless and would win the best player here, not that were better prepared in the first stage of the game.

Perhaps the only thing that can recriminársele Bobby Fischer was made a few contributions in regard to chess literature. Unlike Kasparov, who has left a written legacy, the American wrote recently. His book my sixty memorable games is certainly a work required to understand Fischer, but we are not enough. Obviously we wanted more from the pen of Fischer. However, despite this, Bobby left about seven hundred games played in official tournaments. That is where we must work to find the great moments in this great chess prodigy. His legacy is there, and heading played, written between the lines, so to speak colloquially. In this book we intend to read that Fischer, who gave so much for chess.

note that we have included some of the most emblematic of American games, which have been analyzed deeply by many players around the world. In this sense we had to make a decision on the level of analysis that would keep at each meeting. After much discussion we decided that Fischer's chess can not be shortened to more or less general comments. Its depth of analysis, extensive work is partly as we have presented here. We believe that, despite the fact that some cases the analysis seems overwhelming, the careful reader will appreciate if required, complications Bobby printed in their games and never shrank. We assume that if the reader board in hand, following these tests, draw even more out of this book.

We are convinced that Robert James Fischer was a watershed in the world of chess. The great American master showed us that you can reach great heights with an extraordinary effort, and certainly beyond the capacity for science game series. When asked what was needed to penetrate the secrets of chess, Bobby said: Maximum concentration and love of the game. We that the latter all is said.

Is not nuclear energy?

Yet this tragedy is happening Japan, there have been opportunists who now come forward to say NO TO NUCLEAR ENERGY, although clear, never said anything about it. Of course, now it is comfortable, convenient, opportunistic and even a nice pose, to oppose these developments in nuclear energy. The main problem is that all these opponents do not ever say what the alternatives to such developments. Because it is clear that were not even aware of the energy needs of planet Earth. Van

Here are some facts about it:

total world energy consumption in 2005 was 500 EJ (= 5 x 1020 J) (or 138,900 TWh) with 86.5% of combustion of fossil fuels, although there are at least 10% of uncertainty in these data. This equates to an average power of 15 TW (= 1.5 x 1013 W) . All this should be clarified that not all the world's economies track their energy consumption with the same rigor, and the exact energy content of oil or ton of coal varies widely in quality. Still, data reveals that energy consumption is huge.

However, most of the world's energy resources from solar radiation from Earth - some of this energy has been stored as fossil energy, another part of it is usable in direct or indirect means such as wind, water or waves. The term solar constant is the amount of incoming solar electromagnetic radiation per unit area measured on the outer surface of the Earth's atmosphere in a plane perpendicular to the rays. The solar constant includes all types of solar radiation, not just visible light. Measurements satellite put it around 1366 watts per square meter , but fluctuates by 6.9% over the year - from 1412 W / m² in early January to the 1321 W / m² in early July, given the variation of the distance from the Sun, a few parts per thousand daily. For the Earth to complete a cross section of 127,400,000 km ², the power output is 1.740 × 1017 watts, plus or minus 3.5%.

estimates of remaining worldwide energy resources vary, with an estimated total of fossil fuels of about 0.4 YJ (1 YJ = 1024J) and a nuclear fuel available such as uranium that exceed the 2.5 YJ. The range of fossil fuels is extended to 0.6 to 3 YJ if estimates of methane hydrate reserves are accurate and if it gets its extraction is technically possible. Due mainly to the Sun, the world also has access to a usable energy exceeds 120 PW (8,000 times the total used in 2004), or 3.8 YJ / yr, dwarfing all non renovables.El problem is that using all the solar energy is not yet available. The development of solar cells are still far from being able to use all the energy that reaches us from the sun.

on fossil fuels can say many things during the twentieth century saw a rapid increase in fossil fuel use is multiplied by twenty. Between 1980 and 2004, annual growth rates were 2%. According to estimates in 2006 of the Administration of the U.S. Energy Information Administration, the 15 TW total energy consumption estimates for 2004 are divided as follows, representing the fossil fuels for 86% of global energy: Coal supplied

energy for the industrial revolution in the eighteenth and nineteenth centuries. With the advent of the automobile, aircraft and the widespread use of electricity, oil became the dominant fuel during the twentieth century. The main growth of fossil fuel oil was reinforced by the continuing decline in the price between 1920 and 1973. After the oil crises of 1973 and 1979, in which oil prices increased from 5 to 45 U.S. dollars per barrel, there was a retreat in oil consumption. Coal and nuclear energy became the fuel of choice for electricity generation and conservation measures increased energy efficiency. In the U.S.

the average car has more than double the miles per gallon. Japan, which withstood the brunt of the oil crisis, made dramatic improvements and now has the world's energy efficiency. After the last forty years, the use of fossil fuels has continued to grow and its share in energy supply has increased. In the past three years, coal, which is one of the dirtiest sources of energy has become the fossil fuel more rapid growth. . However, solar PV is rapidly incorporating as a replacement for fossil fuels as the dominant energy source. Thus, total resources of all fossil fuels YJ 0.4 represent total, while the availability of solar energy is 3.8 YJ year.

However, if we consider nuclear energy, in 2005 accounted for 6.3% of total primary energy supply . Nuclear energy production in 2006 reached 2658 TWh, which represents 16% of total global electricity production. In November 2007, there were 439 operational nuclear reactors worldwide, with a total capacity of 372,002 MW. In 33 other reactors were built, 94 planned and 222 proposed state. Among the nations that do not use it now, 25 countries are I built or proposed. Some countries have announced plans to abolish nuclear energy, but to date only Italy has been implemented (although it continues to import electricity from countries with active nuclear power plants). In addition to this, though Austria, Filipinasy North Korea have built nuclear power plants, these countries have had abortions before they were implemented.

estimates of the International Atomic Energy Agency is the equivalent to 2500 ZJ uranium. This is assuming the use of fast breeder reactor that is able to generate more fissile material than it consumes. It is estimated that the economic uranium deposits currently recoverable tested for reactor fuel cycle directly reach only up to 2 ZJ. Ultimately recoverable Uranium is estimated at 17 ZJ for direct cycle reactors and in 1000 ZJ for fast breeder reactors to the reprocessing.

Neither the resources nor the technology limit the ability of nuclear energy to help meet energy demand during the twenty-first century. Even so, political and environmental implications on nuclear safety and radioactive waste started to limit the growth of energy supply at the end of last century, especially due to certain nuclear accidents. Concerns about the proliferation nuclear (especially about the plutonium produced by breeder reactors) suggest that the development of nuclear energy by countries such as Iran or Syria is actively discouraged by the international community.

Perhaps then the option is nuclear fusion, which is the mechanism used by the Sun, for example. This process generates large amounts of heat based on merging the nuclei of hydrogen isotopes. The heat can theoretically be used to generate electricity. The temperatures and pressures necessary to accommodate the merger making it a very difficult process to control and therefore an unresolved technical challenge. The tantalizing potential of fusion is represented by its theoretical capacity to supply large amounts of energy, with a relatively small associated pollution. Both the United States and the European Union supporting research (such as investing in ITER), and other countries. According to a report, the limited investment has slowed progress in fusion research over the past 20 years, so that is 50 years away from commercial availability.

So then, the problem is what are the alternatives if we oppose nuclear energy. Does wind power? Does solar energy? We are far from these clean energy and infinite (until the end of the Sun, so), are available and can replace massive amounts of energy are generated with other procedures. We must remember, moreover, that by 2030 there will be about 8.3 trillion human beings, which will require resources, health, hygiene, protection, energy, etc. Where is supposed to leave that amount of energy to meet the huge human population will be at least 20 years?

So without further arguments object is easy. More difficult to give options. Much more difficult.

prontito DON FALL comes to the southern hemisphere ....

So, so.
Who is it? Other
Fall time.

What does the Fall?
The freshness of your temple.
not what you want to give.
I'll want it removed.

So, so.
Who is it?
Fall again.
( Federico García Lorca )

Fall begins on March 21 and ends June 21. Leaves behind the summer and then wait for the winter. In the early days of autumn, there was still a little warm and it rains for several days, the landscape will change, and most outstanding is the change of color in the leaves of the trees that fall to the ground, and climate, which will be cooler.

How do we recognize it's fall? Cause: Rain

The weather is cooler
Trees lose leaves

Did you know ...

... the leaves change color and fall in autumn, because before it gets cold, many trees stop making food and chlorophyll, which gives the leaves their green color? And fall because tree roots begin to take less water in summer and between the end of the stem and leaf is shaped like a cork corky, so that water does not reach the leaf, dry and the wind off.

What a name!

fall The name comes from autumnus , which means "drop of the green."

Why not start working the issue with a story!
Story: apple tree in my garden
There once was a bear who loved to take care of your garden, watering flowers, mowing the lawn, but what he loved most was its apple tree. He had planted when he was just a twig small and weak. Lovingly cared for him and watched him grow and change throughout the year.
In spring, when the sun began to warm filled with flowers, green leaves and birds to be pampered, even in this season the bear was devoted to plant little seeds in your garden.
Summer: Each florcita turned into a delicious red apple. The tree filled with deep green leaves and when the sun was very hot, the bear was sleeping under shade to read nice stories and draw.
In autumn: tree leaves were painted yellow, orange and brown. When the wind blew the leaves fell and flew across the sidewalk. Al bear chase liked
In winter was very cold, the apple tree had no leaves and its branches were filled with snow, the birds had a hard time getting food, so the bear gave bread crumbs and water in a saucer .
And so the days passed, and bear looked happy and grew and changed its apple tree in each season, it was sad to see you naked without their leaves because I knew that it would soon spring and be dressed in beautiful flowers and leaves new.
Activities to work the story (if you click on activities you can see them)

Tip of activities:
* How are small children fall? .. Talking, questioning their knowledge previous take a look variety of trees, drawing the one you liked.
* Register during the year how appearance changes from a tree in the garden or close to it.
* Make a jam fall. (With seasonal fruits) can go shopping at the grocery store or to investigate which fruits are in this time of year. You can also find the recipe, the ingredients in a record poster
... etc. * Make sounds with conventional instruments not trying to imitate the sounds of wind, dry leaves, the birds, rain, the small noise that animals do when walking on dry leaves, etc.
* Cut pictures from magazines or bring home with help from daddy , images of food, animals , clothing, fall characteristics, pictures of trees, etc. When we put all the images, we classify and assemble an album or folder with "things fall."
* Going out to collect fallen leaves. In the room: the classify, compare, the smell , classify by size, shape, which are completely yellow, which have yellow jackets, and which are still green. * Make
squares autumn with twigs and leaves glued onto a piece of rough cloth or sheet Stamping on fabric with fabric paints.
* Inventing the actions they can perform fall leaves, invent rhyming verses. For example : "The jasmine leaf walks through the garden" "The bay leaf navigates a paper boat. " The leaf is yellow takes off his shoes." That pert leaf fell with his skateboard , funny things can arise.
* Make a chandelier fall

Hojita * FALL DIME WHY.
One possible proposal to celebrate the arrival of autumn from the Natural Sciences.

"Sustainable Growth?

Now that Japan has the problem that has: a huge earthquake, tsunami worst and a nuclear emergency worthy of science fiction, there have been opinions on the phenomenon is a kind of revenge of the Earth of Mother Nature, having failed to treat with the respect they deserve. It seems, according to the opinions of these characters, among them Anna Bolena Melendez, a journalist and writer, who writes a section from Monday to Friday at the Excelsior, that man is the worst plague to hit the planet and that we are consumed with curiosity in greed, the selfishness in taking advantage of all, at the expense of whatever, and therefore, what we surprised? Nature is angry with us and is thus giving us a slap and wipe off the map if you wish. And humans do not measure ourselves, they say. It turns out that build huge cities, we exploit all that is around us, we are the worst predators and thus to chance and we have deserved this to happen to us.

But here's your letter, you decide:

Japan Light

We just before us, devastated, destroyed, by compulsion, by ambition.

Anna Bolena Meléndez

feel deeply what is happening in Japan. The sister of a great friend is living there and has been involved in evacuating a hell of dangerous points and cross your fingers because it is not all that radioactive release caused by filthy murderous weapons that we ourselves have made. Now there are thousands and thousands of innocent people in danger of being seriously affected by this accumulation of energy that we created it to fight the territory. Today we have almost no territory and we do not realize that nature is reclaiming its entirety, that is destroying everything that we build on their devastated land. We care a damn, trees cut down, we finished the water, causing warming, and with that, the total imbalance of our mother and species, now we deceive ourselves by saying that we will conquer the Moon and why no other planet in the vast Milky Way, we can also end in a few thousand years.

We are the worst plague that has created nature, just as we passed, devastated, destroyed, by compulsion, by ambition and thirst for violence. And now at last, bathed in the blood of our earth, we lift the arms waiting for a miracle to happen. I see people suffering, dying, injured and terror stuck in your bones, I see children waiting for a better world and they give dying, I see the land poor defending what we have done for years and that defense takes and will continue to claim lives. None are exempt from living on the edge of the sea to those who live in the center of the cement are vulnerable to her anger, the crushing weight of our own creations, hatred we print to our environment. I see the sea

get angry at the people who now call the sisters because we see them suffer, but at the end of the day we encourage our borders, our differences we do not understand that simply does not exist, we invent them and thanks to those borders today the world is shattered victim of its own divisions. How

we do not see the tree in front of us and understand that it is time to return a few steps and return to nature. It makes my hair stand on end when I see the scenes of the sea enter Miyako, melt waters to see how boats like glass, not to mention the human vulnerability, that is when we show respect, when we are afraid. Do we need to meet face to face one of these tragedies to begin to grasp? Do not we just look at how the earth shakes the other side of which we live? Did not think so as she shakes a hand, shake the other?

I do not want to be a bird of ill omen, but the number of natural disasters recorded in 2010 is brutal, many of which neither we hear or often we do not care, but things happen all the time, small, giant, called or not our attention. We can not be so naive to think that the world will end in 2012 just like that, a meteor comes and we're running. Let's see both Hollywood and we use logic! All that is happening right now, tsunamis, earthquakes, volcanic explosions, etc., are evidence of what I say. In each of these natural disasters kill thousands of people. Does not that seem like a piece of the end? I do not think the world ends, but humans are so selfish that we swear that if the Earth just with us, then the world ends. My life! I think the Earth is going to regain control, I think it will be much less than more aware after seeing what nature can do if you feel disrespected. I think if we're lucky, the Earth can give us a second chance to prove we can stop being a pest to become part of an ecosystem, we can live with alternative forms and a higher consciousness to respect among species, we can forget about borders and colors to open its arms to diversity.

terrified I'm human because I am aware that if at this moment in nature is given the win, we delete it from the map. It hurts to think of all the people who died, all who are dying, but I have hope that we reflect and then I fight for a better world in all aspects.

far the article, which appeared on 15 March this 2011.

The reality is that views such as the journalist mentioned, it is not the only one who thinks so, unfortunately, are based on wrong beliefs and ignorance. I wonder what good science so someone will come up with the idiocy of this natural phenomenon is a kind of revenge of the Earth by the abuse.

First we must clarify that the earthquakes, tsunamis are natural phenomena that have been given Over the centuries, and even long before the man did his presence in the face of the Earth. Tectonic plates that cause earthquakes and are shaping the continent. Thus, when these plates move, because they are always moving, joining one another causes these tremors of Earth. Probably now his power is much smaller than hundreds or thousands of years, as the Earth and have some time to have formed. Current Earthquakes pale in force against that probably occurred many, many centuries ago, when Earth was much younger.

So, is simpler to think so, that belief that this is a divine punishment for behaving wrong. Who does this sort of absurd assumptions believed to be the only good they are, but do not realize that there are thousands of examples to prove otherwise. I mean, firstly, the fact of building a house, apartment, housing, ruining the environment around it. Put cement, rods, bricks, just to the fauna and flora that may exist in the ground where it is built. But it does not remember those who speak of these godlike vengeance against the evil of human predator. But if this little, who live in a city, use services such as water, gas, gasoline, electricity, etc. Some who are lucky enough to have a car, take it out to move, consuming gasoline burn them into motion, in addition to the aggravating factor that is a nonrenewable resource, ie, gasoline, oil will run out sometime.

All these characters who believe that human nature is evil, except them, of course, they forget that there simply prey on their environment. And tell us about the danger of nuclear power plants (until problems occur as those now Japan, but not remember them), but never say anything about this when you turn the light of their bedrooms, or turn on their computers, or iPads carry their cell phones. For them, in their sublime ignorance, never notice the use of resources and how they pay, they feel that if they want, they can waste it.

The point is that in my opinion, human nature is doomed eventually, but not as divine punishment, but because there is something real that can be called sustainable growth. For example, to generate electricity for millions of people who are in Japan, the Nipponese decided, with the risks that might entail-made nuclear power plants. They saw that possibility because it went where did you get so much energy to your country? The point is therefore to which they have nuclear reactors that generate steam for the turbines that generate electricity. But that or unknown or forgotten. Those who predators not ignore probably feel that the process has been rigged pros and cons. And believe me, do not build nuclear plants so that a greedy group is made of millions of dollars at risk from nuclear accidents can (also, as I said before, are weighed and that to date have never been as severe as the pessimists would have liked to pass). Groups are made because humans need certain satisfactions and will do so to get them unspeakable.

same thing happens when a human being is born. In principle, you need food, hygiene and protection. For these factors are present you need to use much energy, and much of it is not renewable. But these friends who believe that man is an evil entity, you forget these details that make it possible for children who have all these resources, are most likely to get healthy and well into adulthood.

So, sustainability, sustainable growth is impossible because, eventually, to consume non-renewable resources, we find that it is impossible to stay on sustainability. We will have the obligation to see what we do when one of the key resources of the planet is gone and how we will replace. Therefore, expect not only growing, but stay at a point where we do not lose Sustainability is a myth. It is impossible to put in a word.

In conclusion, I think the human race is doomed, long or very long term, but eventually succumbed as they did at the time of the dinosaurs, simply because the conditions of the planet will be impossible for human life. When will? I do not know, and I think we're far from it, but we are in a trap with no exit in a dilemma with no satisfactory solution, I have Clarisme. At some point there will be too satisfactions and also come when there are no satisfactions, no matter what the human being to find them. But this is not a divine punishment for being bad, for misbehaving with our mother , Earth, but because it is a natural way that surely will have to pass as a human race.

In solidarity with the countries in distress

today's news does not talk about anything other than natural disaster to strike the Japanese. There is no doubt that fell all over the country of the rising sun. First an earthquake of 8.9 on the Richter scale, followed by a tsunami that was more damaging than the earthquake. Now several nuclear reactors have problems. No doubt that Japan takes a while complicated and difficult. The media are

of congratulations. Today the news is even more alarming. The nuclear issue seems to be a threat on which we have no control and can be terrible even for the world. And in another article I talked about this and it is clear that the note is being exaggerated, because again, it sells. And with the profit all values, all professional ethics, is going overboard.

Well, I find that more than one intends to carry food, medicine, blankets, the Japanese Embassy in Mexico. Yes, say and write with great momentum, " support our brothers in misfortune ." In fact, here there is a group of "moles", these characters who get into the ruins looking to rescue the survivors of these disasters, to Japan, to collaborate on this new problem facing the world.

However, subject to accuse me of callous, selfish, what is therefore clear to me that the case of Japan is different in every way to the misery that we suffer in Latin American countries (and many of them poor .) For example, the 8.9-Richter quake did not throw buildings, or at least I have not seen the terrible scenes of collapsed buildings as happened in Mexico City. Why nothing happened in the earthquake? Why not collapsed buildings? Because the Japanese know they live in an area prone to earthquakes and built with precise guidelines for other strict. Here, when the 1985 earthquake, fell sick buildings uninhabitable as a result They say any-of the few rules for building safety. It said there was corruption in many buildings built with inferior materials to cut costs. Anyway, that's another story. The fact is that the country survived the terrible earthquake Japan, but not the tsunami that devastated several coastal towns. To top it off, including tsunamis and earthquakes, Japan, which relies on nuclear plants to provide electricity to the country, had difficulties precisely because of the quake. Some reactors have had to be turned off while others have problems with melting of the core, a matter which I repeat, is not as bad as the media wants to see.

The point is that Japan is a powerhouse in every sense. Is finally a rich country and therefore, no need of these very acts of third world solidarity. To give an example, note the Gross Domestic Product in the World. Where is it located where Japan and Mexico? here are the figures:

World Countries ranked by gross domestic product (GDP) values to purchasing power parity (PPP) , the sum of all goods and services produced by a country in a year in relation to purchasing power parity (PPP). This is an economic indicator introduced in the early nineties by the International Monetary Fund to realistically compare living standards across countries, taking into account the per capita gross domestic product in terms of cost of living in each country.

purchasing power parity is one of the most appropriate for comparing living standards than the gross domestic product per capita, as it takes into account changes in prices. This indicator eliminates money illusion linked to changes in exchange rates, so that an appreciation or depreciation of a currency will not change the purchasing power parity of a country, since the inhabitants of this country receive their wages and make purchases in the same currency. Ie allows types exchange between currencies, are such as to allow a coin has the same purchasing power anywhere in the world.

I put the list of the top 20 countries, but you can see the full list here . Note

. In the equivalent of GDP, Japan produces more than twice as Mexico. Japan is the country the third in the world, just below powers United States and China. Brazil is the best Latin American country. Mexico, in the place 11.

But let's talk about poverty in the world: in developing countries 1300 million people live below the poverty line, more than 100 million people live in these conditions in industrialized countries and 120 million in Eastern Europe and Central Asia (see graph 1).

People living on a dollar a day
(percentage)

Figure 1

poverty disparities actually reached alarming; Asia Southern has the largest number of people living on $ 1, ie 515 million people. Followed by East Asia and Pacific Suoriental where 446 million people live in these conditions. 219 million in Africa south of Sahara. And 11 million in the Arab States. In Latin America and the Caribbean 110 million people live on $ 2 daily. In Eastern Europe and Central Asia countries 120 million people live on $ 4 a day.

On the opposite side are the industrialized countries as Europeans, or Japan or Canada, that generally their economies suffer from a very low inflation, the poverty line is set at 14.4 per person per day and the percentage poor is not even the 15 percentage points.
In poor countries, 120 million people lack drinking water, 842 million adults are illiterate, 766 million have no health services, 507 million have a hope life of only 40 years old, 158 million children suffer some degree of malnutrition and 110 million primary school age attend school. (See Figure 2).

Figure 2

But why do I mention all this? Well just to show that being supportive, the sending aid supplies, medicines, clothing, etc., A country like Japan is like a country like Haiti, will help us in a disaster. The working poor out of the crisis for the rich. How can that be? Is to say the least, a bad joke.

In fact, if we are to figures, calculations early bird get the natural disaster in Japan at a cost of about U.S. $ 100.000 million.

In a note of the Universal says

Bank of Japan injected more than 85 billion dollars

The Bank of Japan (BOJ) announced today it would inject $ 7 trillion yen (85 000 848 000 000 61 000 dollars or 557 million euros) to guarantee the financial stability of the country after the serious earthquake on Friday.

Japan's central monetary authority is willing to do whatever is necessary to calm market and ensure liquidity during the greatest crisis since World War II.

This new injection of urgency comes after Sunday BOJ Governor Masaaki Shirakawa announced that the Japanese issuing institution would provide "ample liquidity" in the country's banking system.

The central Bank of Japan and said he has injected 55 billion yen (483 million euros) to thirteen financial institutions in the northeast has been devastated by the earthquake on Friday.

addition, the issuing institution keep Japan on Monday a meeting to consider interest rates, which has been cut to one day instead of the usual two because of the earthquake.

Japanese entity had warned days earlier that he was ready to support financial institutions in the area affected by the earthquake and subsequent tsunami that they might be able to respond to the needs of deposit withdrawals "smoothly" .

The Nikkei index of Tokyo Stock Exchange today, down 5% in the first half-hour session, while the Topix index, which gathers all the values in the first section, was down nearly seven percent in its first day from the earthquake that devastated parts of the northeast coast.

Put another way, Japan does not need international assistance in terms that are used to hearing. There are no storage facilities to do that to all this, Mexico suddenly spring from nowhere and frankly to me is the most legitimate doubt that any help that is collected comes to those affected.

But there is more information: Mexico ordered the "mole." How many will be sent? "10, 20, 100? Those who are, can not do much. Of course, if they save one life, will be worth the effort, but it is clear, send topos is a tiny help in statistical terms or even paint.

Apart from this, the generous Pope Benedict XVI, donated $ 150.000. Will he or won the Vatican? Viz. That's a joke in real terms, if the figure I said before, U.S. $ 100.000 million is the estimated cost of this tragedy.

Note that it is estimated, unofficially the total death toll at 10,000. That is, the fifth of the number of people who died in Mexico City in the 1985 earthquake, which conservatively estimated at some 50 000 victims. Clearly, preventive approach of the Japanese, to the extent that although 10 000 people dead are many, in terms of natural disaster is probably one of the countries rate lower in fatalities.

In short, who I believe harmful to say these things because I'm sorry. If you want to help then do a storage facility, but for Haiti, a year and Chachita the worst earthquake in its history is the most terrible poverty. If these characters, you always want to feel solidarity with countries in distress, want to act, but then donate to Haiti, because they do not believe that the emergency has passed. Poorest country in Latin America and more fucked up I think there is. That was due to meet the logic that richer countries support the poor people. In the instant case, Japan, is as if the poor want help the rich. repeat: claim solidarity with them by collection centers, sending food, blankets and medicines, is in the more benign, a cruel joke.

What Is The Biggest Size Curling Irons Come In?

Technology, Dianetics and fraud: what is the e-meter?

March 13 would be fulfilled 100th birthday of the creator of Scientology, known as Dianetics, L. Ron Hubbard. Maybe some already know this because actors like John Travolta or Tom Cruise, are believers of this "religion? Interestingly

to become a member of Scientology, you need to pass an audit process, and this is done through a device called e-meter , a kind of lie detector that Scientologists believe him to "see the thoughts." But exactly what kind of device is this?

Officially called " electroencephaloneuromentimographómetro " and it really does is to measure galvanic skin response of a person. And although this sounds almost space science, which means in common terms is that the e-meter induces an electric current in the believer's body and returns the device to measure changes in electrical resistance of the human body.

So what is it useful? Well, members of Scientology say that e-meter is a device that measures the " static fields" that surround the human body. Basically, for these Scientologists are supposed to tell the auditor if the person being measured with such a device has already " released from his spiritual impediments past experiences," or in more common terms, "if you're ready to enter Scientology. "

How do I use? During the process the auditor submits the candidate, the person making the hands two metal cylinders, which are connected to the e-meter, and is asked a series of questions. When a response, the auditor noted the activity the measuring device (the movement of a needle as the analog multimeters), which has had significantly only in the world of Scientology. The auditor reads and interprets the results to you. " Think of a lie detector test, but it wrapped in an aura of mystery and science. Or a sort of tarot cards high tech.

Hubbard and his followers developed the e-meter to assist in this process called auditing. Are ordered copious amounts of money for the e-meter and the sessions using this device. Scientologists repeatedly and explicitly say that these processes of audit candidates Dianetics and Scientology, natural cures are made and even mental character. It should be noted that this process almost guarantees the cure of any disease. Of course this is absurd.

E-meter is treated as a religious artifact, by Scientologists, but the reality is it's a money machine . Testing with the e-meter, are terribly expensive and are used to answer many of the problems of those who practice Scientology. As this device can only be used by "trained professionals ," then the most dedicated Scientologists are the ones who can access this type of process.

But what does an e-meter inside? Clearly, the curiosity about what circuitry have this device has been enough to get one of these e-meter, disassemble and analyze. However, things are not as easy as an e-meter art costs $ 3850. Eventually someone got one and it literally ripped to satisfy curiosity. Details on this page .

Strictly e-meter has an analog and digital part. The analog meter is a simple skin resistance in who is holding the metal cylinders. Because of this, changes are easily noticeable. However, the system has a digital part, which includes a microprocessor 8051. What could serve this? Apparently it is too usr electronic engineering, but perhaps has its rationale. The e-meter, which is thinner version called Mark Super VII does more than measure the electrical resistance. You can connect to an e-meter " teacher, so the supervisor can monitor the actions of an auditor who is using the device with a candidate. The system can then transmit all the measurement information to the drive "master " many times per second. So then, the digital seems to be entirely justified.

should be noted that the FDA in the U.S. the Food & Drug Administration raided the January 4, 1963, at the Church of Scientology of Washington. Were confiscated books and e-meters. The FDA required that the units of e-meters they had a label that said it the device was ineffective in the diagnosis of diseases or treatments of the same . Scientologists lost the trial, but have failed, to date, with the legal system.

One part of the judicial system against the "Hubbard electrometer " et al., Is said to prohibit the Church of Scientology and its related organizations, saying that it can be cured using the e-meter: " This device must have a visible place a note to warn anyone who uses it that is forbidden by law to indicate that no scientific or medical basis for believing that the device can be useful to diagnose, treat or prevent any disease. Note that this warning about this device condemns use with medical or scientific purposes to improve the health or bodily functions of anyone .

However, the plate from the e-meter says:

" By itself, this device does nothing. Its utility is to guide the ministers of the church [of Scientology] in its pastoral care and advice. The electrometer is capable of improving health care or no scientific way and their use is religious, intended for students and ministers of the Church of Scientology .

As you can see, everything sounds like fraud, in which case so that it can perform, Scientologists use a device supposedly "high tech" with almost magical powers, being able to cure diseases, both physical and mental. I do not know why, but this reminds me more and more fraud Xango.

Parents must be the best examples and role models and imitate our children against many idols rising in society and message content is poor and empty. There are attitudes that can only taught by example, and behavioral habits, good relations of coexistence, problem-solving skills, good sense of humor. There is no reality more accurate during time of our lives, the saying "Life is spinning." Today we're down, up and gone tomorrow we might be like next week if we're lucky. Today we are children, tomorrow we are parents and at least we know, our children will be many more things we could be. Each time you feel irritated by so many questions, which uses the phrase "son I have no time right now" and stop bothering ... remember .. "Life turns."

The China Syndrome and the truth of reporters

In 1979, he left a movie called " China Syndrome "a thriller that tells the story of a reporter and cameraman who discover safety coverups at a nuclear power plant. It stars Jane Fonda, Jack Lemmon, Michael Douglas, Scott Brady, James Hampton, Peter Donat, Richard Herd , and Wilford Brimley.

The title refers to the concept that if an American nuclear plant melts, it melts through the Earth until it reaches China. But China is a metaphor, because the opposite side of the planet United States is actually the Indian Ocean.

The film was released on March 16, 1979, just twelve days before the accident at Three Mile Island (Harrisburg, Pa.). The accident at the nuclear power plant Three Mile Island helped make this film a blockbuster.

Today, we know that after the earthquake and subsequent tsunami in Japan, there is already a series of emergency to three nuclear plants Nipponese. Apparently they are afraid of occurrence of a core melt with the dreaded syndrome, China.

But ... What is reality? The media-and I've said before love to terrorize those who listen, read or watch, because on the one hand, they know the media that it sells and that is the business, though in the background are lying or exaggerating to make notes more dramatic. The large

nuclear plant ordered in late 1960, generated new questions about safety and fear that caused the serious accident of a nuclear reactor could release a large amount of radiation to the (media) environment and into the atmosphere.

In the early 1970's there was a continuing controversy in specialized technical press and even the mass media (especially the U.S.) on the performance of emergency systems, cooling water (cooling systems) of the cores of nuclear plants, designed to prevent melting of the core of a nuclear reactor, and may give rise to a syndrome of China.

In 1971, nuclear physicist Ralph Lapp used the term "China syndrome" to describe the casting of a nuclear reactor through its container, and the further penetration of it through the cement layer beneath it, with the consequent emergence of a hot mass of nuclear fuel in the ground surrounding the building. He based his statements on reports of a working group of nuclear physicists led by Dr. WK Ergen, who published their initial report in 1967.

Despite some nuclear accidents like Three Mile Island 1979, or the far more serious meltdown of Chernobyl 1986, the China Syndrome is a theoretical hypothesis certainly greatly exaggerated.

So then, what they call " meltdown" (meltdown) refers to the melting of the reactor fuel. The term has been applied in an irresponsible and even in cases of accidents at Three Mile Island and Chernobyl 2, there was a significant melting of nuclear fuel and only in the latter case, there were some serious difficulties.

To understand more about it, you should know that nuclear plants remain "cool" by using water cooling systems. Why water? Because it possesses one of the largest heat capacity, ie, water can absorb a large amount of heat. (And I called attention to what chemical refrigerant is used instead of water in many internal combustion engines we use in cities. Is it a simple matter of business?).

However, overheating can occur due to loss of coolant in the cooling system of nuclear plant or for failures in the protection system of a reactor to shut it down when there is a major fault.

These conditions are usually out of the question because in the plant design ensures that this can not happen, due to redundancy and diversity protection of the reactor cooling systems and emergency core insulation systems of the container, as well as the structure of the container. Even with all this, there are procedures for cases and contingencies developed in this area.

If a meltdown occurs, there may be leaking radioactive material into the environment, but this can happen ONLY IF there is a major flaw in the structure of the container. For this were to happen, would also have to pass the following: 1. Overpressure in the container 2. system failure isolation contend, systems, and lines and valves by close.

The nuclear plant design attempts to reduce the occurrence of these events, which so far has occurred once in 250 years to the 400 reactors in use. It is impossible to say with 100% certainty that a core meltdown would never happen. Redundancy and diversity of nuclear plant systems, the federal regulations, the mandatory technical specifications, procedures for plant operation and training and professionalism of the operators give a defense to all these eventualities of a disaster.

Still, as any law of Morphy said: " if something can go wrong will go wrong " and this was the case of Chernobyl, where a test procedure, and due to a combination of poor design and operator error, began the following sequence:

 • A peak power resulted in a pressure reactor coolant system , which caused a loss of coolant (usually water). This was not a nuclear explosion.
 • This peak caused overheating in the reactor fuel
 • Steam was generated in the graphite sobrcalentamiento resulted in a fire, which in turn resulted in the burning and dispersal of the contents of the nucleus.

New reactor designs make account of what happened in the Chernobyl accident and now using graphite, avoiding the possibility of another problem similar to what occurred at the time.

So how bad can be a core melt of a plant of this nature? To answer this question, one must know that almost everything on the planet emits some natural radiation. Comes even cosmic rays, power supplies (bananas are the food more radiation), radon gas, granite and other dense rock. So then, if we quantify the damage from the Chernobyl accident, estimating the amount of radioactive emissions that escaped nuclear plant We compare radiation a person receives in a normal environment.

For example, the estimated radiation doses at Chernobyl was 80 000 Sivertsen. A person in Europe is half a million a year sieverts. So then, in the case of the Russian nuclear plant, this is about a sixth. Moreover, the radiation detected in Western Europe by radiation from Chernobyl was 0.02 mrem (in Portuigal) to 38 mrem (in some parts of Germany). Just for comparison, the dose of radiation received by eating a banana a day per year is about 3.3 mrem.

Consequently, nuclear accidents, at least those that have occurred since there Nuclear plants are not as tragic as the media would have us see. Films like China Syndrome simply make the imagination of people and to what is nothing more than a movie with a veneer of fiction, we tend to believe that the world will end almost. Curiously, this phenomenon was repeated with the movie "Jaws" (Shark), which is what finally got the audience to stay with the impression that sharks are bloodthirsty murderers all about people.
